Medicine Park Cabin, owned by Patty & Jim Ferguson, was established in 2006. A perfect location for enjoying all that Medicine Park has to offer. Walk across the street to Bath Lake where a foot bridge takes you to the heart of Medicine Park. Stroll down the 1/2 mile lighted walkway along Medicine Creek, shop, eat, fish or just sit back on a bench and relax. You almost always find somene singing or playing a guitar somewhere around the town.
Medicine Park is just a short mile from the 60,000 acre Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge where you can hike or just drive around. The Refuge has 1.5 million visitors annually. You may see herds of bison, elk, longhorn cattle, wild turkey, prairie dogs and lots of other wildlfe that roam free on an open range. In the winter eagles sore and pelicans dive over the eleven lakes.
Native Americans consider the waters and rocks of Creek healing, hence the name Medicine Creek. The Medicine Park area is great center of activities including bicycling, photography, paddle boats, mountain climbing,sSwimming, boating, hiking (guided & non-guided), bird watching, Ffshing and hunting.
